Just ordered vRS!

Featured Replies

Hello all Fabia owners!

I've just ordered my new vRS yesterday in lovely candy white - of course

Heres the spec:

vRS mats

Armrest

Dark Chrome alloys

Climate control

Rear elec windows

Black roof

Black Pack - new option which gets gloss black front grille and darkened headlights

Can't wait to take delivery of it, dealer has said 10-12 weeks which isn't so bad i guess :giggle:

My only disappointment is that you can't spec xenons :( If i retro fit them, can you still code the car via VCDS to tell it that it has xenons fitted, even though it isn't a factory option to start with? I don't want any of these dodg can-bus kits as I know they can damage electrics. Just want a good OEM looking kit, probably from HIDs direct.

Thanks for any input

Congrats! Candy White and Dark Chromes the best colour combo too! :-)

Personally wouldnt bother with HID retrofit, need to be self levelling and have washers to be legal, you'd basically be making the car illegal, it also wouldnt pass an MOT so you'd have to put it back to standard down the line. You can obviously spec washers on a Fabia but the self levelling thing would be the biggest issue.

Best thing to do if you really hate the lights are to replace the bulbs, Philips Xtremepower seem to be the lamp of choice according to those who have changed theirs.

Congrats on your order, sounds like it will be a nice vRS :)

Shame about the lack of Xenons, when ordering mine the dealer was very clear this would not be an option on the MK2 Fabia, ever!

Self-levelling is the key issue re legality though. The Factory-fit xenons on my MK1 vRS do a "little dance" when first switched on and settle.

The only other useful option (that won't be offered) would have been electric folding mirrors.

Hey-ho.

Yeah I thought about the lack of the levellers but I'm not wanting any daft colours, just 4300k oem look and the car is brand spanking and never going to sit an MOT.

Just got used to having xenons, octavia and s2000 both had them. Other option would be to get some PIAA extreme white plus bulbs which are by far the best on the market in regards to aftermarket upgrade bulbs, you just pay the price for them lol!

Shame on both counts. Had Xenons on last 3 cars and miss em on the vRS although did replace the bulbs with Phillips and lights are not bad. Certainly not Xenons but better than standard.

Would have also liked the folding mirros but as you say not even an option...

PS congrats on ordering hope you get your car in the quoted Time

Projected delivery is late July/early August but I'm in no rush...

dealer quotad me 25 weeks when I ordered mine and that was at the end of march so someones got it wrong? Hope its my Dealer.

Is the black pack an option some say it will be fitted to all cars after prod week 21.

Yeah as of now its a no cost option, however once the no VAT offer finishes they're doing some price re-structuring and I think all vRS's will have standard black pack, but at the moment its only the Monte Carlo one that has it.

And yeah dealer said 3 months max, another customer ordered their car at the end of march and its due 3rd week in June at the dealer. Maybe your dealer is just being a little bit pessimistic lol!

I'm not sure I want the black pack or not at the moment.

Though, the black grill and lights will complement (or is it compliment) the black A pillars.

Like others have said, if the vRS came with Xenon's, nobody would buy a Polo GTI.

You won't have to bother with the MOT for three years like you said, but risky if you get pulled over. Plus good luck fitting washers for them, as no OEM kits do this. Playing the numbers

Nice spec though. White is defintely a good colour to go for with the black wheels. Black pack will just make it look even better in my eyes

Third week in June hopr mine arrives that quick as I say I order 1st April and I've been quoted September delivery

Likewise - I was told 14 weeks, so looking at end of July.

Though, I am keen to know what build week they'll put my car in at because of this black pack that's going on.....

Emailed my dealer today to see if they have a build week yet also to check if the Black Pack is a option, as some say, or will be fitted to all cars as standerd as others say. lol :S

I had posted this in another thread, after speaking to my dealer when the black pack appeared on the configurator:

------

I asked my dealer if the black pack was an option or standard fit on post week 22 cars, based on the fact that the configuator now had the black pack as a clickable option - and this is the basis of the reply:

"We are informed by Skoda that any cars built after week 22 will include the black pack. You cannot order a car with the black pack on as an option as it will not save the order, it gets rejected, ive had a look this afternoon doing a dummy order."
