Pics of my vRS after clean and polish today

Featured Replies

Spent a good part of the day cleaning and polishing the car so thought it was about time to take some pics and post them up. I guess once you've seen one white vRS you've seen them all but here's mine!

Nice Johnno , but then Im biased lol.

nice drop with the Eibach/FSD combo, how do you find it on the VRS honestly?

may go that route myself, want to go lower but do not want the ride any firmer than it already is.

The Eibach/FSD combo is perfect if you want OEM ride quality but with reduced roll and a more composed and planted feel to it. It really isn't any firmer that you'd notice than OEM.

Ideally I would like it a bit lower but I was worried about compromising the ride quality and making it too firm so I'm happy with it as it is. It's also the family car after all!

You can never have to many pics of a Candy white quality motor!

Be interested to know what products you use to get the demon shine?

Nice pics. Bet that number plate cost a few quid..

Very nice....and some "proper" wheels !

Nothing special, just Autoglym Super Resin Polish although I've always found it to be pretty good.

It's a bit of a sod polishing a white car though because you can't see where you've done as it's white on white :giggle:

Looks great but i hope you're going to put an LSP on to protect all of your hard work

I did think about it but then decided I didn't know what an LSP was so didn't bother.

Will do mate when I am at my computer tomorrow as I have the link saved. They were bought through ebay.

why super resin polish is an adequate LSP albeit not to my tastes but its not bad.

Very nice emoticon-0148-yes.gif

On your comment Grizzle, I don't really think many would describe Super Resin Polish as a 'last step product' surely? Its combination of properties does include a sealant, but to maximise the benefit of application and also the appearance of the car, it would be recommended to finish with a wax coat or two.

Looks good.

TBH I would not have guessed that that's lowered. Nice and shiny though :)

That's the look I wanted, not obviously lowered, but lower than standard as that is too high.

Could maybe do with another 5mm but happy enough with it. The gaps between the edge of the type and wheel arch are equal all round now which looks good.

I'm wanting rear spacers but am concerned they will increase the problem of already excesive inside edge rear tyre wear?

Been out for the day today so car got covered in dead flies so I washed it again. The wife thinks I am mad! Apparently this is the third time in less than a week :giggle:

Looks excellent Jonno, one wee mod that is cheap and easy to do that I would recommend is replacing thr front & rear indicator bulbs for the silver ones (but they still flash orange). Just makes the light unit that wee bit 'cleaner' looking and only takes around 20 minutes to do all 4.

Good idea thanks, do you have a link to them handy mate?

I bought mine off eBay - just do a search for PY21W. They normally come in pairs and the price can vary by a fair bit. Rears only take a couple of minutes to do but for the fronts you need to remove the headlights which take a couple of minutes longer.

Edit: It was this seller I bought mine off: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/performancebulbs
