SDI Gearbox help

Featured Replies

brought a SDi last week, before i got it the dealer fitted a brand new gearbox under warranty (got 65k on the clock)

on friday night i couldn't select any gears and the pedal dropped to the floor. i'm lucky if the cars coverd 150 miles since i picked it up,

the AA dude said the reason the padal dropped may have been caused by air in the system???, after he pulled the pedal back up it felt fine.

but i waved bye bye to it on the back of the AA van so it can get checked out at the dealers.

has anyone else had any problems on there SDi's like this????

thanks

Sounds like a clutch problem if the pedal sank to the floor... and I wouldn't be surprised if that was due to some dodgy gearbox fitting, or a really harsh coincidence

master cylinder maybe? these can go everynow and then

well it was checked out and the dealer couldn't find a fault, they put it down to an air lock, the cars been fine since.

thanks for the replys guys

It wil prolly be the clutch master cylinder sticking, they sometimes do it when its cold.
