turbo shaft snapped

Featured Replies

right basically my turbo has had a awful wistle, then car lost all boost and cutout. had turbo off and the shaft has snapped! what would have caused this? could i just buy a new shaft and rebuild the turbo or? cheers aaron

Will need a new turbo, usually either poor mapping and/or oil starvation will cause the shaft to break.
