HEADS UP! Acid Pollen cloud on its way

Featured Replies

ah dear...

Meh, just wash as normal and all will be OK. Usual hyping up "Thousands of pounds" rollox! Only if left for a very long time could it perhaps cause a little damage.

"The pollen is very abrasive and also slightly acidic, this means if left over time it will damage painted surfaces. The car should be washed thoroughly and not just wiped otherwise the pollen will stick to the car for longer.

"The best thing would be to spray them with specialist car paint cleaner and then take them through the car wash. This makes it easier to wash the pollen off. The sooner it is washed off, the less chance it has of damaging the paint work. I have already had car owners coming to me with damaged paint,"

Gives a little more context rather than just scare mongering

Perhaps the killer bees will eat it before it does any damage?
