Yeti in Petrol Blue Metallic

Featured Replies

Could anyone indicate what a Yeti in Petrol Blue Metallic would look like?

I am about to order myself a brand new Yeti and one of the colour options are Petrol Blue Metallic.

But I am not really sure what colour this is :S . First I looked at the Aqua Blue Metallic, but I would like the car a bit darker.

Where have you heard about the new colours? They're not on the Skoda configuration site as far as I am aware, and I have yet to see a new brochure for the 2012 cars.

We have been told by Skoda that new colours are being introduced to replace some existing colours but no timescales yet (apart from Storm Blue having already disappeared!)

If your dealer can order Petrol Blue then I'd expect him to be able to give you more information about it. All we have seen is a tiny sample that seemed to suggest it could be even darker than Storm Blue.

Chris (still eagerly waiting for Skoda to tell us what they'll be making in 4 weeks time!)

Thanks Chris.

My dealer gets his cars from UK. But with the steering wheel on the left side!

Here is a copy of the paint we can choose from in the car configurator:

My dealer told me they have changed the blue metallic but he only had a small patch on is computer and he could not really tell what it would look like, that was last week. Pete

Hi,

Different forum I know, but I've just been given the MY 12 colour changes for the Superb I am thinking of buying by my local SKODA dealer.

Colour changes:

Storm blue metallic will not be available from week 16 (18 April) and will be replaced by Petrol blue metallic from week 26 (27 June).

Amazonian green metallic will not be available from week 27 (4 July) and will be replaced by Regency green metallic from week 35 (29 August).

Mocca metallic will not be available from week 39 (26 September).

Don't know how relevant the time-lines are for the yeti but above may help.

I too am hunting for info on Petrol Blue metallic ahead of ordering tomorrow....................Yippee!!!

Regards,

Steve

Thanks for that! Don't you love the way they stop a colour and don't offer its replacement for several weeks! Must take a long time to clean out the paint hoses I guess!!

Chris

Here is the European press release MY 12 changes - the two colour concept sounds interesting, will SUK offer it?

Mark

Guys, I thought I was able to order my yeti in Bronze, but have been told that order will not be placed until week 39, giving me a timescale of nearly a year from now if I wish this colour...so have ordered muscovado instead. I am not too happy but what else can I do.

Check when the blue you are after is due to be available, then add your country`s waiting list time to it!!
