Instrument cluster

Featured Replies

Hi, my speedo instrument cluster makes no noise when indicating and noise when lights left on etc! It's starting to bug me now! I assume this will just be a buzzer or something similar? Can these be bought separately? Or do I need a new unit!? I'm willing to strip an old unit down etc to take off! Also would all fabias have the same cluster?

Thanks olly

There is a buzzer built into the cluster, unless you are quite good at soldering onto circuit boards, you'll be looking at a replacement cluster. There are lots of different part numbers for the cluster and to complicate matters your cluster contains the immobiliser and is coded to the ECU on your car.

If you can get a suitable used replacement cluster you'll need the immobiliser log in codes for both of them, a means of coding it in and depending on how fussy you are a means of correcting the mileage reading.

Ah I see! The soldering is no issue but all the other equipment and tools to program are! I have a feeling I will need to live with it or spend a few hundred pounds getting it done proffessionally somewhere. Is it a dealer only job or could some specialist do the work possibly? Thanks olly

I'm fairly sure that the speedo assembly comes as a complete unit. It is fairly straight forward to take apart though.

A new cluster is £300 odd from the dealers as I enquired about this a couple of months ago.
