Need 4 new tyres

Featured Replies

As the title says I need 4 new tyres for my vrs. I quite fancy going for Avon zz3's cos I had them on my previous car and was well impressed with them. The cheapest I can find is £88 each which isn't too bad, but there are a lot of cheaper tyres out there.

Does anyone have any first hand experience of cheaper tyres that were actually decent?

Also can anyone recommend an online retailer that is good on price?

Thanks

£78 a corner delivered! http://www.tyretrade...O20545R1683WZZ3

£86 fitted. :) Is your £88 fitted or just for the tyre?

Not really used any others - got Rainsport2s atm which I like. Had some Dunlop Sports before which gripped ok in the dry, sucked in the wet, and were as loud/uncomfy as solid metal would be!

Nah the £88 is fitted, tbh I think it will be hard to beat them.

I'm trying to save cash but reckon the old saying "you get what you pay for" will rule my thoughts.

At least I know from past experience that they are (very) good tyres.

If you wouldn't mind 2nd hand, edition38 forums have tonnes.

I had pirelli p zeros the other month on my 16" spiders and so far ive been really impressed. Round the country lanes last week in wales it stuck to the road like glue and i was pushing it hard. Even in the wet they're pretty good, only losing traction if i accelerate hard from standstill. Got mine from tyre traders, best prices i found.

Well, after extensive phoning around I have got a good result on 4x Avon ZZ3's.

I blagged it with all the places I rang, when they asked the best price I'd been quoted I said £78 each. Eventually one of them price matched and I'm having all four fitted on Fri morning.

These were great tyres on my Mazda 3 and can't wait to get them on the Fabia.
