Clutch Renewal and other things...

Featured Replies

A mate of mine has a Fabia and asked me to help him change the clutch, I cant remember what model but its a straight 1.9 diesel.

I'm quiet confident in doing it and had a quick look at it before I go ahead and give it a bash.

Is there any special tooling needed? I noticed that the drive shafts going into the gearbox has what I believe is torx bolting... I only have upto T40 but by the looks of things its bigger than that. Anyone know what size is needed or if its even torx?

Another Question...

I am away to get my 312mm brakes put on the vRS at some point and need to know a few things.

The brake pad spring retainer thing... are the all the same for the calipers or do I need to get specific ones for the 312mm calipers? also does the standard Fabia vRS carrier/caliper bolting work on the 312mm calipers/carriers?

Any help appreciated :)

Andrew
