What will it do kill turbo trying to explain to him. But he is training as a mechanic lol so thinks he knows everything.

It could be his project - How to rebuild a turbo when the oil seals fail.

When I put my cai filter on mine it makes the same noise like a dump vale, I think it's kool I put a 007p valve on mine to real loud now, but for your mate hope he's got a few £££ to fix the turbo when it goes!!

some people say it's bad others say damage is minimal. It's his car so don't worry :giggle:

Mines chattered for 30k+ miles and still on the original turbo @ 156k

my car was standard when i bought it, i fitted a bailey recirc, open filter relocated behind bumper, front mount an mine chatters, has done for about 20k, as does my uncles leon cupra r. both still fine

Your noise will be the recirc valve, your mate's, compressor surge, some say good, some say bad. I dont run a dump valve on my 600hp Toyota, and many others dont. A guy I know who races Skylines has never ran a dump valve. IMO dv's sound gay anyway lol
