Ive heard there are two different shades of yellow that you can the vrs in, is this right?

Has anyone got any pictures of the different Yellows, all im getting when i search is the same custard yellow

SPRIT yellow Cupra ibiza style and Lemon yellow, not as nice in my view!

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. But..

Pre 2005 are the more "Yellow" cars.. Think it's Sprint Yellow?

Post 2005 cars are ever so slightly more custard coloured, This is Lemon Yellow?

Again, above could be wrong but it's what I've been lead to believe.

My '05 vRS is Lemon Yellow. I quite like it, knowing people who've had OVNI Yellow SEATs which suffer from terrible and uneven paint fade, I find that my vRS just looks like a "pre-faded" version of that but with the colour a lot more even. I dunno if Sprint Yellow on the Mk4 Ibiza suffered the same fade problems as OVNI did on the Mk3s though...

There are indeed 2 shades of yellow and as said above they are Sprint and Lemon

My uderststanding was the other way around the Robs.

I thought that SPRINT yellow is much rarer than LEMON yellow and is a deeper solid yellow colour while lemon yellow is almost a pastel colour

the trouble with pictures is they could be the same shade just with differening levels of photography skills/lighting but try these 2 on for size

picture on the left i think is SPRINT and the one on the right LEMON

I dunno if Sprint Yellow on the Mk4 Ibiza suffered the same fade problems as OVNI did on the Mk3s though...

Yes Ovni on the early mk4 Ibiza's was a bad as ever.

I had one before my Fabia and the dealer i bought it from knocked a dent out of the rear 3/4 and reprayed it before i picked it up. The patch they'd spayed was a yellower shade than the rest of the faded paintwork.

Then the roof was an even lighter shade again, with the plastic rear spolier a completely different colour.

Without much effort you actually see the change in colour from the top of the B pillar to the bottom!

PastyBoy is correct

Sprint is a brighter yellow, usually on very late 06/07 plate cars from what I've seen. Probably with colour coded handles too, but that's not to say every car has them.

lol... for fear of sounding like a kid trying to belong.... Yeah, that's what I meant!..

The pastel, post 2005, Lemon yellow shade being more like custard and the Sprint Yellow being more yellow (Or lemony, ironically),.. like "Yellooooo, I'm YELLOW"

Oh god.. I've Typed Yellow to many times.. it's lost all meaning.

On a side note... Yellow is the colour that NEEDS black B pillars the most.

That's still the wrong way round lol, the pastel colour is PRE 2005

Matt

The Bright yellow will only be found on late 06/07 cars as said above, mines march 06 and its the earlier more dull yellow, only way to check really is by the colour code

A rule of thumb is, If it has black door handles it's Lemon Yellow, Colour coded handles will be Sprint yellow.

And Sprint Yellow replaced Lemon on 07MY cars.

So roughly from 56 plate, But there may be a few very late 06's kicking aboutemoticon-0148-yes.gif

my girlfriend had an 06 plate fabia sport which was in lemon yellow and that had painted door handles

I am shamed... I'll leave now. ;-)

Sprint yellow is horrible! Almost greeny radioactive lemon isnt much better

My pride and joy is lemon yellow...and is quite a few different shades! Can't polish it up or get a shine but I still love it, first yellow car I've owned and puts a smile on my face. Mine is a 53 plate, one of the first I guess. I do wish it had colour coded handles.
