Turbo blown- had to happen!

Featured Replies

Looking some help, turbo blow out this morning not a bad one im told it is most likely the fins as there is little to no smoke but still need to replace it. Where is the best place to get one. Or am i better trying to get a pd160 or similar and if i do do i need to remap it again to take the bigger turbo im on a bit of a budget any sugestions welcome or if any one knows of something avaiable that would be great! :'(

A pd160 would be a great upgrade, bolts straight on, no remap needed.

I presume you mean 150 turbo?

Turbo technics hybrid 130 is good for your needs, 650 Inc exchange, excellent product

Cheers for the help if i wanted to purchase a tubo of another car what cars have turbos that bolt straight on ie pd 150 etc ?

PD150 from Golf GT TDI with ARL engine is a good strong replacement, but they are rare and go for good money 2nd hand. A hybrid would be a good idea if you fancied more power (insurance mod don't forget too) and reliable power too.

Perhaps we should have a sticky of what turbo's are good replacements and their tunability.

Also do these all work on both ASZ and BLT engines?
