Featured Replies

We are proud to announce the release of our software upgrade for the newest 1.4SI Fabia VRS!

Thanks to go janner_Sy for lending us his car for development. You can see his thoughts on the map and other maps here: http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/200721-stage-1stage-2-fabia-vrs-14-tsi-180/page__pid__2380743#entry2380743

We have developed two levels of tune - Stage 1 and Stage 2.

Stock figures were 176bhp/260Nm as tested.

Stage 1 tuning is suitable for an otherwise stock car, and develops 210bhp/320Nm torque (+34hp/+60Nm) with very healthy increases through the midrange.

Stage 2 tuning is suitable for cars fitted with a performance intake system and performance exhaust system. We have tested this more aggressive setup using a stock car with a free-flowing downpipe and results were 213.6bhp/360Nm torque, however with a full exhaust and intake system we fully expect this software to make approximately 225bhp.

We have tuned this to give an incredibly smooth delivery as seen by the dyno plot against standard here:

The price for the Fabia VRS 1.4TSI software upgrade is £499 including VAT and both stages of tune are available NOW!

Shark Performance - Tuning Redefined

Hi Ben,

There seems to be a hefty increase in torque there. Just with questions on the dry clutch DSG, is that going to be ok for long term use? Obviously i trust your judgement ;)

Cheers,

Steve

In short - yes. There's information bandied around that the DSG7 is good for "only 250Nm". Given that the car dyno'd more than that as standard dispels that myth for a start...

Secondly, DSG gearboxes are capable of limiting the torque themselves by sending a reduction request to the engine ECU. The DSG6 does this when torque exceeds 450Nm which is 100Nm more than the standard on the CR170 engine, and so that's the theory we worked to on this one. Stage 1 is only 50Nm where Stage 2 allows another 50Nm on top.
