Anybody watching world super bikes at monza?

Biaggis Aprilia is just a rocket ship, it's the only reason he made the podium on the first race.

Go Laverty, hopefully he'll win race to two.

How did I miss that, it is usually such good racing. Laverty given both races I gather from the website. Also a second win for Chaz Davies in WSS, local boy to Here & Worcs!

Still a Yamaha fan as I only gave up the Fazer less than a year ago. Sharing a Suzuki 650 twin with SWMBO but hanker after going back to 1000cc.

The Aprilia is super quick and Biaggi is a little guy say compared to Leon of course. Bring in miniumum Bike and Rider weight I reckon.

Simoncelli seems to do good on MotoGP despite his size compared to Danny who is half my weight at 48 Kgs.

Riders weight should be set at around 70Kgs IMO so Biaggi etc may have to carry a bit of ballast.

Aprilia is very nice. Fancy a change from Japanese to European but cannot decide between Aprilia, BMW or Ducati. Strange as would not ever drive a BMW car!

Here is an interesting video M3 against the 1000cc BMW bike. The bike is so much faster, even in the rain!! Brave man.

Haha, that vid was a surprise finish. Must be a poor driver to get overtake by the bike in those conditions. It was one tricked M3.

The second race showed the potential Laverty has to be champion, if not this year then next  . He knew what he was doing behind Melandri and didn't go past when Melandri made a mistake.

Did Biaggi fall asleep going into the first corner :giggle: Bit surprised he didn't carry on after seeing the ride through sign, he probably been warned by his team after last time.

Will Chaz win this year, at last he has a bike capable to win at every race. Not that the Triumph was bad, just not enough at somewhere like monza.

I will have to catch up with the races on Eurosport. Laverty, and his brothers, are from the amazing Irish stock where fear seems to be missing from their DNA.

I presume you have an Aprilia?

I have to go out and to a whole set of road tests to see which suits me. Whilst Superbike racing has improved the bikes it has also make them smaller and at 1.85m and 100 Kgs suited and booted I do not fit them comfortably, an R1/R6 feels like 250s use to be to me.

Might just go for an SV650, only 12s standing quarter etc but cheap but fun and only £5K!

The racing is worth catching up with, even the superstock stuff  .

Yeah have the Tuono and you're right about bikes getting smaller, jockeys only need apply for some of them :'( . I'm about the same height but a couple of kilos lighter, not tried any of the new bikes yet. I'll have to book a few test rides this year, even though I'm not interested in changing.

Motogp at Le mans this weekend, will Pedbot win again? I think simoncelli will be up there, how long for before he drops it is anyones guess.

Will Rossi make the podium this weekend?
