columbus Nav system

Featured Replies

I have a new (2011) superb elegence, with the columbus Nav system fitted.

Since purchased, my bluetooth phone (HTC Desire) worked perfectly.

Suddenly on Friday the bluetooth ceased working.

No problem with the phone as it works in another car.

The dash MFD has no mention of phone facilities (search and pair etc)

When I press the "phone" button on the nav console, it only mutes the radio.

Pressing the "phone" button on the steering wheel has no effect whatsoever.

Does anybody have any idea what might be wrong.

Thanks for that mannyo

I suspected that was the case but, I was half hoping there may have been another reason.

I will contact the dealer tomorrow.

The car is only 6 weeks old with 1050 km.

You were right the module had failed.

I queried the dealer as to how it could fail after only one month.

He told me that the possible reason for the failure of the original unit was my phone was set to receive Emails !.

They were having failures on units fitted to Scoda, VW and mercs with HTC, Iphone4, and, blackberry phones.

(The one thing all these phones had in common was they could receive Emails)

He also said to return if it failed again and, they would replace it again free.
