We Steal Any Car .com

Featured Replies

Just got a (presumably automated) email from webuyanycar offering a £1000 increase in the valuation of SWIMBO's Mergane cabriolet :) . 1st offer was not worth considering but think we may make an appointment to get a final price as it is not far off our expectations and will save all the hassle of private selling.

They are well known to knock the price of the car heavily when they do the inspection. Word of warning!

Yeah thanks I had heard that.

How ever worth investigating further as they are offering £6,345. We have been advertising in local paper, auto trader and gumtree for 3 week at £6500 and havn't had any serious interest.

All the other webuyanycar type sights are offering arout £5100.

Reckon if their final offer is £6000 it'll go.

It's mentioned on here before that it should be called "We buy any cars for less".

Just be aware that these guys are the lowest form of life in the motor trade, in my opinion.

Makes your local dealer salesman seem like a saint.

On my last car they first offered 9500 and then five days later upped it to 9800 without being asked.

As I had only tyre kickers and free drives to see the car and was in their area

I popped in without an appointment.

To cut a long story I was offered 9300 the reason being they had brought their quota

of my model and didn't want any more at that price. Their offer was as usual, for that day only.

Needless to say we parted the best of friends, they rang me for nearly a month still offering the

lower price, I kept them hanging on for two weeks after I had sold the car for 10250

Sorry - just got a dose of the clicks.

most of WBAC.com cars go to British Car auctions(BCA) so of course they will offer you less than they are likely to realise at auction.

Worth going on to the BCA website and getting and auction guide value for your car. they have a "Sure Sell" service for private vendors. of course there are charges dependant on the value of the car but as your is a cabriolet now is the time to sell. BCA have a site at ingliston, Edinburgh and I think one in Newcastle. this is the advice that you will find on the Honest John website.

Keep us posted.

Ta, i'll try that.

Held up doing anything at the mo as transfered cherished plate off last week and off course no one will deal until I get teh V5 back - expect by that time the bar stewards at westealanycar will have found sufficient excuse to reduce the valuation!

if it sound to good to be true it is....

thieving bar stewards dropped teh price by £700 when I phone up to book and appointment (bought their quota of convertibles) and then tried to knock of another £700 for 3 slightly curbed wheels.

Therefore SWIMBO still teh proud owner of The Skip. Good news is we have a (sounding) genuine buyer coming to view tomorrow - 1st one after 4 weeks advertising.
