I have to get the bootlid resprayed on my Silver octavia estate due to the dent you can see below.

Do i remove the skoda badge, weld a plate in and then fill where the badge was to have a complete smooth tailgate?

Ok the badge photoshopping is a bit crude but you get the idea. Will be a new vRS badge on there somewhere.

Definately smooth!

Quick mock up with my rusty PS CS5 skills (can't find the clone tool  )

Nice one for sorting out the terrible job i did of removing the rear octavia badge lol and adding the vrs badge.

I don't like removing the Skoda badge personally.

I wasn't sure but no badge is growing on me now.

Suprised that the vote so far is no aswell

Leave the skoda badge, remove the vrs badge

Leave the skoda badge, remove the vrs badge

+1

:)

I'm not keen on the lack of badges as it just looks like something is missing rather than intentionally removed, I have the Octavia badge removed from the back of mine but kept the Skoda and VRS badges which I like the look of.

Yea I agree that no badges at all doesn't suit the car.

Think the number plate will fill the centre space enough and then trail and error with the vrs position should give a nice effect.

Its a bit of a marmite topic this one lol

Be proud to drive a Skoda and keep the badge

lol its got nothing to do with the skoda badge fella i am proud and nothing to be embarrassed about just the bootlid has to be painted and always been keen on making it look a little different to the others out there when an oppotunity raises its head

I'd keep it.

To me, removing & filling it would just shout that the car had been pranged and repaired, which may not help resale. Why not wait for the new style badge to become available?

Why are they using your car as a desk? :(

Yep, I know, half the car is new :giggle: , but if he's gone to all that trouble to repair/replace everything else....

why not go the whole hog and fill in where the reg plate goes and remove rear wiper as well, like the Nova and Corsa boy's used to.

Lmao I know I was thinking the other day and only passenger doors and engine that I haven't removed from the car otherwise I have worked on every other part of the car through nesessatity or through modding and I'm yet to actually drive the car lol!

Ps that's my dinner on the roof.

Looks like opinions well in favour of keeping the badge then

Pics please fella!

i think you should remove it and make your car individual, there are thousands of skodas around that all look the same, i mean its not a in your face mod its just a subtle difference that if done well will look fine!!!!
