Is it just me or........

Featured Replies

I have had my car now for six months and I notice increasingly that Merc C and E series estates drivers in particular seem to be agressive towards the Superb on the road.

Is it just me or is it something that other owners have noticed.

Maybe it's the realisation that the Skoda is just as good a car as the Mercs but they have paid 10K more for the badge.

The C Class owners and jealous of the E, as that was the car they really wanted, but couldn't afford it.... and the E Class owners get jealous of our fuel economy, 10 grand change we've got in our pockets, the additional toys and in our case, the 4x4 ability!

So, yeah.....!

+1 B)

I find if I cruise at 55 - 60mph and wear a high vis jacket everyone passes me very slowly. :wonder:

Found out why now, the traffic plod in the East Midlands are using at least one unmarked Superb estate the same colour as mine :giggle:

Don't think the police have private E - plate registrations ;)

I get that too - i sometimes wear a high vis jacket for work (yellow with orange bits) and have Cameras mounted front and rear... the observant driver spots them...

Like you, I have a private plate, altho there is a Silver Octavia VRS Unmarked car in Midlands, with a private plate; In-Laws works as a civi / driver for the Police, he say's it's not unheard of to add a private plate to a cop car...

During my short 50 miles of ownership I have noticed people letting me out and being fairly courteous, I'm used to driving BMW's so it's quite refreshing. I even know how to use them little flashing lights on the side of the car to change lane.

Bet your arm will start aching by using that little lever to engage the flashy lighty things!

I believe it's in the terms and conditions when purchasing any BMW or Merc, that that lever is NEVER to be touched, on pain of death!

Remember that if you just give the lever for the flashy things a quick touch in the appropriate direction you will get three flashes. Saves having to click on then off if not turning a corner.

Not as much fun as the old Citroen ones that stayed on all day if you didnt cancel them though :giggle:

Jeez this has gone from my obvious paranoia to blinking indicators.
