Fabia engine light on after stall

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Second post with the new Fabia we have purchased.

My wife stalled the thing the other day and after that the engine light has stayed on. Now its caning fuel like there is no tomorrow. £15 and its done 40 miles?????? Terrible !!

Now Im unsure if this is related, but since the stall the alarm now keeps going off and the plip is also activating next doors remote door bell ????? This may be pure coinsidence but im really confused now ???

The car doesnt appear to be running rough at all now, it was for a while after the stall but appears fine now, just caning the fuel and the warning lamp on. I have tried disconnecting the battery and leaving it for a while, it worked on the Felicia, but not with the Fabia.

Can anyone offer any advice please?

Many thanks,

Clive.

the plip is also activating next doors remote door bell ?????

I for one would have a field day with thisemoticon-0136-giggle.gif

A scan will highlight the problem!

Suspect a sensor has popped on the fabia, maybe coolant temp sender which can cause fuel economy issues.

Also, you don't say which variant of Fabia which might help. I would offer to scan it myself but I am right the other side of the south coast from you. :D

Hi there, it's a fabia 1 and it's a 1.4 16v on an x reg. Yeah sounds possible, strange after a stall though. Looks like a scan will have to be done then. Anyone in my area do we know??? God knows with this plip/'alarm thing with the neighbours door lol, must be driving her nuts!! Anyone want to borrow the dam thing? ???

Cheers people
