An update - I've just cut a ply backing for each guard & will get some cardboard from work tomorrow to go around them. I should have them all packed by this weekend at latest. Sorry for the delay but I didn't want to rush them out in inadequate packing & risk damage.

Got mine yesterday and fitted it in about 5 mins flat. In fact it took me longer to unpack the thing and to peel off the "sticky pad" proectors which were a bit fiddly when trying to hold it without touching the pads you'd just unpeeled.

Didn't measure it as suggested, rather used line of sight from Skoda badge on boot to my towbar, and matched up the central ridge on the protector. Fitted perfectly.

I'm getting used to the look of extra silver on the car, and although I'm not particularly a fan, it does look as though it was an OE option and I'm sure it'll grow on me. Covers up a scratch left by the dog jumping out followed by his chain lead, so an inexpensive and smart "repair".

I've answered my previous question, and you can see from the underside that the base plastic is light grey, which will ultimately show through when scratched. Notwithstanding random dog paw scratches, this is most likely to happen on the ridges, so time will tell how it looks then. If it begins to look shabby I'll either replace with the same, or spray it the same colour as the bumper (assuming we know a paint code by then). A paint code for the silver could be handy too! Either way, it won't prevent the same from happening again.

All in all, I'm very pleased with it and keep stopping to look and admire my own handywork. I think its the best solution currently, and will probably remain that way unless someone produces a metal version - which could dent or look too shiny to match anyway. Perhaps Skoda should come up with a serviceable (as my grandmother used to say) solution given the utility nature of the car. RGMouldings - you've missed an opportunity here despite many requests.

Initial look suggests we won't be disappointed with these. It's raining at the mo & I don't want to rush the fitting so it'll likely be Sunday night or next week before I get time to fit mine but the pic shows it in place. It has a protective film on plus a Milotec sticker.
