i have been having problems with my s reg 1.4i, starting and intermittently running like a bag of spanners. i have done a service and changed air flow sensor(small inprovment) i am beginning to think it is the MAP sensor(047 906 051)i thought before i order a new one is it a component that would respond to cleaning?? if not can any body recommend a were to get a new one, prefrably cheeper than £85

Not sure cleaning would be an option, dunno if anything that would clean it properly wouldn't lead to some damage?

Excuse my ignorance but what is the air flow sensor? Is it the valve in the bottom of the air cleaner housing?
