Am I dreaming ?

Featured Replies

Begining to think that I didn't actually place an order for a Yeti on the 19th of December....

No word from dealer, no build date, no paperwork other than a £500 deposit, other Yetis ordered after ours being delivered before ours emoticon-0106-crying.gif

I do have a Roomster on ransom though :dull:

Sadly no dream.

Delivery for 170 up to 9 months according to James at Allams. See if your dealer can give you more up to date info. The wait will be worth it.

Can you still obtain your compensation fee even if you knew it was going to be 6+ months?

Originally quoted an unbelievable February (wasn't going too laugh to hard), then May (delivery), now post Wk 22 MY12, but no build date.

Downside - no car

Upside - no tax / maintenance / cleaning / 2010 prices & VAT

I will hassle Skoda / Dealer tomorrow.

This is officially Week 22 since order :wonder:

I mentioned your situation to my dealer when I collected mine yesterday (sorry to rub it in). I pointed out that you had ordered a near identical model within one day of me. They said that your dealer must have run out of their allocations for Yetis. Apparently they are rationed around the dealers and if a dealer has sold/ordered their ration then any further orders they put in are delayed until their new allocation is given.

How crazy is that?

Let's hope James & Allams has a big allocation then................

7pm - phone rings......

Mr Yeti Man : "Hello, just phoning to say your Yeti is on "provisional" build for w/c 6 June..."

Me : "Are you Psychic ?"

Mr Yeti Man : " I was waiting to call once the provisional data stayed constant in the system. I will call you soon as "firm" date shows on system. Car should be here mid-late June>

Me: " "

The ups and downs of Yeti ownership. Then I head out in my last trip in the Caterham, having just sold it. emoticon-0106-crying.gif

I am really pleased to hear that. Strangely your predicted delivery date etc is the same as mine was when I first heard the confirmed build date (not long ago) Things happened very quickly indeed from that point with the shipping and delivery to dealer all seemingly happening in a one week period.
