Hi there picked up my new car having taken up the MDI option. Was given a cable and found the connection in the arm rest box - but the connection is a mini USB - my phone is micro USB - Is there a micro usb than I can get elsewhere ???

You need another lead, you can get one which will give you a standard PC USB connection which you can plug the USB lead you use with your PC into, and then plug that into the phone. Get it from ebay for a tenner or there abouts or get ripped off about £25 from the dealer. The lead you have is perfect for plugging in an external self powered HDD and this could prove more flexible than the limited storage on the phone.
