p.s what is the correct offset for the Octavia vRS II (assume FL model is unchanged) for 8x18 wheels?? 5x112 with 45mm offset or not???

Spot on.

Standard 18x7.5's have an offset of 50.

Have you sent the order form off yet? ;)

As before, I'd say 19s are too extreme but that's my opinion. I like the wheel design, so I'd say get them in 18" instead :)

Get the order done. I drive 19s all year, summer and winter no problems. Also have the oem 18s, and cant feel any diffrent between 18s or 19s. Looking forward to see the pics with the wheels fitted on the car B)

My wife also thinks I am mad for paying £1700 on wheels, but I will look after them and if I ever sell the car I can put the standard wheels back on and sell the VMRs separately.

And besides, it's only money, you can't take it with you/there's no pockets in a shroud/this isn't a dress rehersal etc etc.

I think you are mad too but I do think they will look very very nice. Your brakes will look really toytown in all that space, they already look very small with 18" wheels IMHO, if I were going to spend that sort of sum I personally would go for Brembo brakes instead of wheels. In any event you must be very fortunate if you can think of nothing better to spend £1700 on but your car will look nice and you will almost certainly be proud of them.

I like the V710 I would not mind a set for myself in matt black.

Though I dont think I could justify the £1700 for wheels, but if I had the money to burn I would.

Thats the order away to yer man Gareth @ Niche. Went for the gunmetal.

Now the waiting, and the worrying begins:

1. Will they fit?

2. Have I went for the right colour?

3. Will I hate the ride comfort with them on?

Expensive lesson to learn if any of the above aren't right!

Cheers mate, I fancy changing the wheels on my FL model when I get it as I'm not too keen on the style of the alloys. I liked the Zeniths better. Neuspeed RS's look superb but I think they are pretty expensive.

6 week wait mate! Then it is squeeky bum time when the courier pulls up at the front of the house.

:giggle: Yeh, I did realise it took 6 weeks, but it'll be well worth it. You'll have something fairly unique, too-at least in the UK.

very nice imo, but if I were you, I would spend the 1700 quid on respraying your car Black Magic........ :p

Now that's just mean! ;)

Now that's just mean! ;)

Am I wrong then, or is Black Magic not the best (and fastest) colour? :p

I'd have Anthracite if I had the choice.... :p

This is my fourth Black Magic Skoda, after all!

Nah we all know the real colour to have (the only colour to have) is race blue but I've told swmbo that the next one is going to be yellow...
