Octavia Greenline omissions

Featured Replies

I have just bought an Octavia Greenline Estate from Marlborough Skoda and am disappointed for the following reasons, the MDI i ordered was not fitted and I was not informed, that it can't be fitted to the Greenline as it upsets the CO2 omissions !! The electric rear windows as stated in the brochure as standard are not and come as windups. Finally there are only speakers in the front which is ridiculous in an family estate car. Does anybody know if the wiring loom goes to the rear speaker cavities ?? and whether speakers can be retro fitted ??? Buyers should be made aware of what you dont get when buying the Greenline versions.

If the brochure that was current when you placed the order states that the car has electric rear windows and a 4 speaker system (as the 28/3/2011 brochure clearly does) then I would say you have a clear case of either rejecting the car or for compensation so you can bring the car up to the spec that you ordered.

It's all well and good having the 'cop out' clause "Whilst every effort is made to ensure its accuracy, the information in this brochure is not binding and is subject to alteration" at the end of the brochure, BUT if your missing spec is in several of the brochures (especially in the one that was current when you placed the order and ideally also in the previous brochure and the current one) then the spec has simply not been changed, it has simply been omitted.

Hello and Welcome to Briskoda

Hi and welcome aboard.

Welcome to Briskoda.

I would be going back to your dealer and contacting Skoda UK to say that your car is not the correct spec and wish to reject it.

The car does have 4 speakers but the brochure fails to point out that they are all in the front of the car and whilst there are speaker grills in the back the cavities are empty, this i believe only applies to the Greenline and the 'S'
