Coolant loss since major service

Featured Replies

I had my 2005 Fabia vRS serviced in April by a main dealer and they did a lot of work and it came in just under £1000.

In the past couple of weeks I saw what I thought was condensation from the air con but then I found out my coolant was very low

and it got topped up but its losing about 0.5 cm a day I reckon. The temp stays in the middle and the car seems to drive ok.

The liquid seems to be near the front passenger wheel area. I took a couple of pics tonight and the undertray looks wet or something.....

Should the garage that did the service had spotted this if it was there before they serviced it? if it wasn't could they have done something accidently in the service to cause it? Seems strange to me it wasn't like this before they did the service.

Is it likely to be an expensive job? I've just shelled out £980 plus £370 on new tyres and 6 months tax so Im getting on for nearly £1500 in 2 months......

Thanks!!

Did they flush the coolant ?

if so may be they have not replaced the drain valve correctly.

take it back to dealer let them have a look if you have spent a £1000 with them i am sure they will be happy to have a look.looks like antifreeze to me could just be a loos pipe clip

bill
