Okay so the last few days the fabs been making a noise its running fine plenty oil etc except when ur going along the road and excellerate gently it make a horrible noise like somethings sliding about :S. Today im driving to work and the engine management lights came on.

You need to get the car scanned with VCDS (or a dealer/independent) the EML can be a number of things and any advise given over the internet can only be a guess at best.

As for the noise, take a look under the car for anything hanging off, likewise look under the bonnet with the engine running to see if you can pinpoint where the noise is coming from.
