Advise before I remapp the car

Featured Replies

Hi all, I'm looking to get my 2.0pd remapped, but I am aware of the dpf issues, have any members had there car remapped without taking the dpf out? Any advise welcome.

you can get it mapped without removing the DPF, but the gains will be smaller.

Thanks for that, any ideas of the power gain I would see?

You should be able to get to around 200bhp without removing the DPF.

for all the extra it costs, I would remove the DPF while you are at it!

I had mine remapped and had no dpf issues.

Thanks for the info:. I was going to get the DPF removed but i hear they might be changing the MOT rules about DPF's,, So was going to go for a Shark sts/map.... as they have great feedback on this site..

Be aware that it is likely from 2012 the DPF will need to be present to pass the MOT test, same with the CAT. My PD superb with DPF is mapped by Shark and I have no DPF issues to report.

I had mine remapped by Shark , 6000miles and a lot of short journeys later no problems to report except my face aches with smileing when i drive it

I had my previous PD vRS mapped by Performance Torque. Car was great until the dpf failed. Was luckily replaced under warranty. Not sure if the remap caused or accelerated the issue though. Might have been due to fail regardless.
