Well I still have the backbox on unlike some people with the some what gay term "mufflerectomy"

This just shows how relatively new the tech & mods are on these cars. It seems like now cars are getting to the stage of doing enough miles on **** maps & ****ty bodge job mods (again not saying you sy) to show the damage it's doing to the cars.

There's no coincidence tho that the same issues have been had on a few PD's all having run/running slimiar maps :-/

I seem to remember the car made more than 220bhp when Michael @ jabba did it and he backed it off and sorted the map out to stop spiking. I have the print out of this also, so I don't think it a duff map.

Car was running 239.Something last time it went back due to the water injection kit being installed.

Only one piston was cracked, yet I've put 4 new ones in. On the iPhone at the mo so will put pis up tomorrow

239 is some crazy bhp

Do you not fancy turning it down to something safer say 215/220bhp

They had a 217bhp 'race map' but said it was a little too smokey

The meth kit gave it the extra 20bhp so as long as I reduce the mixture to a 4:1 or 5:1 mix then it should reduce the power down to 220 ish.

I might just turn it off tbh

I used to run 40% meth

As far as im aware meth should offer no bhp advantage, just reduces egt's, i had an egt probe on my golf and on full chat it reduced temp from 800 to 650 degrees

Got a all in one boost gauge with a egt probe.

Got a egr blanking plate on at mo so that's probably the best place to put a boss in.

Methanol is like fuel and is more flammable so hence the power increase
