spanner and flashing oil text

Featured Replies

right, lastnight i got a spanner and flashing oil light on my vrs

ive checked the oil and its fine and reading on the web it appears its only saying i need a service (even though its not due by either date or mileage) and the paranoid in me is wondering is that the only thing that warning can mean or does it have numerous possibilities

It's basically saying a service is due but as it's not it must not have been reset last time it had a service.

There is a guide on here somewhere telling you how to reset it.

Try the service light reset, if it comes on again soon, you have problems. If the oil pressure is low it will have a red logo in the instrument panel.

Hope that helps.
