Octy VRS seat - cracked leather

Featured Replies

Long time no post :ashamed:

The leather on the bolster of my driver's seat is cracking, after 15 months and 45,000 miles. Has anyone had any similar problems? I will try my luck with a warranty claim - the leather is regularly "fed" and gets cleaned / conditioned as part of the full valet I have at every service.

Maybe this is just the excuse I need to track down some Golf R32 seats..... :D

Think you may find that 40k is the maximum for these.

But kick up a megga fuss and get in touch with customer services you may get something done then.

I did warranty for 5 years at a dealership

Is that the part you move across to get out ?

I know when I was getting new covers due to fraying I ended up paying for a new base foam. It as if there was a frame of metal which was coming through the form and would eventually tear the leather.

What kind of condition is the stitching between the leather and material ? Is it fraying ? I heard they changed the material.
