Hi,

My 56 plate Octavia 2.0 TDI offside mirror glass has started to vibrate. It gets worse with speed. It doesn't appear to move any more than the near side one when I try to move it with my hand.

Any ideas what it might be before I start to take it to bits.

Glue is failing, it will drop off its mounting bracket/carrier at some point. Give it a yank to pull it/and its carrier out. Reglue, job done. New ones aren't cheap.

A common problem on quite a few VAG car's.

Overtime the glue begins to fail and the mirror starts to loosen. It will eventually fall off and break so you are better off fixing it now to avoid the cost of replacing the glass.
