Hello All

My parents have a 1.2TSi 105bhp Fabia 11 plate. Today they noticed a High Speed Ticking noise that sounds plastic in tone, only at ticking over speed, the sound appear to be comming from the drivers side dashboard, they also claim that the engine sounds slightly more loader whilst driving as well.

They are concerned by this, and I was hoping someone here has had a similar problem, or a known fault causes this noise.

Any help or advise will be gratefully recieved.

Any concerns like this I would take it back to the dealer, engine weird nosies definitely need a look by the dealer

Might not be but could well be the instrument binacle. Its a common problem on Fabia's, our 300 mile 11 plate vRS estate rattles too.

Same here but only at certain speeds and certain revs

Yep...as Bullyboy says Timelord, get them to take it to the dealers for a check. It's prolly something simple like debris touching the ventilation fan which you can hear at tick over but best be sure. It could also be a noisy injector which needs replacing, or a slightly duff hydraulic tappet, all of which can sound as if they are coming from the dashboard on occasions.
