The light in the dash can be dead and the signal to the alternator can still be OK. The alternator is no longer fed by a bulb in series with B+.

Dont worry about all the other faults they have been fixed, its what happens when you use crappy somerfield 95ron

The 17911 fault is likely caused by the other wire (DFM - brown/red) being broken.

Next to the blue wire and is the digital field monitor (output) wire to the ECU. The alternator works normally but the ECU sees a fault.

my battery light is on when i turn my ignition on!! i seemed to have found my fault. so far anyway. My earth on my battery was faulty as now i have found a new earth with a new cable everything seems fine so far fingers crossed
