If only crunching into 2nd. gear it will be the synchromesh cones, gear box strip.

Try cable adjustment reset first.

The video from Moggytech is for a Golf....the main difference is that the black lever on the gearbox on a Fabia is at 12o'clock and you turn it to 3o'clock to lock it!! See my post;

i put some forte gearbox additive in.it worked a treat
