Fixing Ambassador mats

Featured Replies

I’ve just received my order of Ambassador Mats and was surprised to see that although there are fitting holes for screw to fasten them onto the carpets there are no screws provided to do this.

I know other people on here have bought these mats and were wondering if this was normal or did they receive fixing screws with their mats.

Didn't get screws with mine mate! I got mine yesterday! :(

I ordered Ambassador mats for my new vRS & I didn't get any fixing screws either - a few days before changeover saw me struggling to remove the screws from the old vRS Mk 1. I gave up in the end but all ended happily as the new car has little posts sticking up out of the carpet which match perfectly with the holes in the Ambassador mats. They just need a firm push & they snap in - much neater than the old 1/4 turn screws. The rear mats are perfectly shaped, so will not go anywhere. So don't worry, they will fit beautifully!
