Bluetooth audio connection for iPhone with no maxidot?

Featured Replies

Hi,

firstly apologies if this appears to be a re-post - but I got no response on a similar threiad elsewhere (those Yeti boys, I ask you! lol).

Anyway here's my dilemma...

I have a 2011 Octavia Scout with the bolero radio but no maxi dot. The radio has a setting to enable Bluetooth audio but despite me doing this, the iPhone 4 refuses to pair with the car. The phone paired with my TomTom no problem at all whilst checking it out at the same time so I know BT is working on the phone. Any ideas?

I even looked at an American youtube clip showing a similar VAG bolero unit pairing with the iPhone - but try as I might I cannot...

1. Get the bluetooth symbol to appear in the ipod screen - even though it appears in the top menu bar on the phone and...

2. The button on the Bolero screen refuses to turn into a selectable input (it stays grey).

Help please :'(

I believe the bluetooth module is an addon option, my Bolero also shows the bluetooth option but it does nothing and the original owner had a Parrot fitted from new which is a fraction of the price of the bluetooth option.

Yeah, as above. If you search "bluetooth install" (without quotes) within this section there's quite a few related threads.
