Too good to be true......

Featured Replies

While doing the stupid thing of looking for a sensible economical alternative to PastyWagon #2 (that i could then turn into a diesel race car :giggle:) I found this:

Seat Ibiza PD130

For that money with that mileage even in a slightly doggy condition something seems too good to be true

Not sure i believe the 1 lady owner line given in one of the pictures it appears to be parked infront of a house with a body kitted Impreza?

Opinions?

What would you expect one like that to cost?

If you do buy it, do you fancy selling me 2 of the wheels? I rather fancy having matching wheels this winter B)

Could be a husband selling his wifes car hence the Impreza.

Does seem a good price.

Around £3k

Hmmm. If it seems too good........

This is a trade sale. The seller has a number of other cars currently listed.

Thank you Mr Stoke

Hmmm a little more into than the ebay ad and a fair bit of work to be done however as a base for a TDi race car it could be perfect ;)

even in that condition I reckon it's a bit under priced :)

Why is a lady owner supposed to be a good thing? I look after my car far better than any lady I know. My sisters always scrimp on servicing and parts and very rarely clean them!

No probs! I just did a google search on the number plate and that's what it revealed.

As you say its still a good buy at that price plus you have the added bonus of possibly contacting previous owner if need be.

Cheers

Nee

+1 I'd hate to buy a car off SWMBO she doesn't give a stuff how manky it is, inside or out.

The "down as a 1.4 tdi on the logbook" sounds a bit dodgy! :D

Can I smell fish?

The log book has the car as a 1.4 diesel this is just an error i have never bothered getting changed as it has no effect on the car

+1 My Mum has a 10 plate Fiesta that is constantly filthy, already has several gouges out of the paint, and lovely kerb marks on the wheels. To top it all off after a year of ownership she received a letter from the dealership reminding her that her service was due. "Why should I have to pay for that, surely it's covered under warranty? I don't think I'll bother with that" Even after explaining that it's what keeps the warranty valid, I had to basically force her to go and get it serviced.

lol!

Looking further into it....

Maybe a word with the seller first? Things like if it is 'Fully HPI' Clear how did they not notice the engine capacity had changed??What implication is there regarding Vehicle Tax etc?

Plot thickens ....

I can beat that. There was a recall on Vx Tigras when SWMBO had hers. An electrical fault was setting cars on fire. It was free. she still couldn't be bothered to take it in for 6 months.

Every wheel kerbed, every panel dented, never cleaned unless I did it.

Her new Ibiza is going the same way. When it rains she says, "that's the car washed"

And she wonders why I don't like her driving mine.

So it actually IS a 1.4 then? LOL

A quick check on Autotrader comes up with this and the 1.4TDi Sport trim wasn't available on the Ibiza till 2007

Having had a PD130 Ibiza before my Fabia i'd say this is another one.

A pretty doggy one with a few issues but

Well I emailed the ebay seller and he'd be happy to part ex PastyWagon #2 but woud only offer trade prices - which I reckon is about a third of what i'd want.

Although hopefully more than webuyanycar.com who would give me £225! The 12 months tax is £200 so that makes the car worth a grand total of £25!

Have replied asking about the cambelt, central locking and V5 and will see what he comes back with
