Haynes Manule Octavia II

Featured Replies

Just got new car tried to get hold of Haynes Manuel but to no avail. have VAG stopped Haynes from producing these??? Any alternative about?

Only M1s available I'm afraid, bit silly when they do one for a M5 golf( same car underneath )

There is also erWin : The official VAG website where I understand one can download whatever's needed (for a small fee).

ERWIN

As far as I can tell the Skoda section is cheaper than the VW and Audi sections.

Haynes don't tend to do a workshop manual until the model is out of production. IIRC.

I don't think thats true...here is an post detailing how Haynes make their decisions:

I think this was about the Mk1 (from the date) but I doubt the criteria have changed much.

How many Octy IIs have been sold in the UK? Anyone know?

I would think (judging by amount of Octy 2 taxi's about) that more than 50k have been sold by now. The VRs marque (includes mk1 & mk2 Octy's n Fabia's) has passed the 12 k figure so seems reasonable to think 50k mk2 octy's sold by now. Just my humble opinion. :)

I kind of thought that, but couldn't find any figures to confirm.

I've been using the VW Golf MK5 for my MK2 Octavia, I think its fine for most people. I've also got ELSAWIN personally I prefer Haynes for maintance.

Manuel haha. Spelling mistake

If you are going to correct someone for their spelling you have to correct them with the correct spelling,( Touche! , ) the correct spelling is Manual :giggle:
