Monte carlo headlamps

Featured Replies

A mate of mine has this 2011 FL fabia HTP and had this small accident.Anyway he wanted a pair of Montecarlo headlamps which I got for him,but where as his old headlamp had an H4 bulb for dip and bright apart from the small cupless bulb for the sidelamps and amber for the indicator, the new headlamp takes just an H7 bulb so now he's just got the driving lights but no bright.headlamps were just a plug and work. Can anyone tell me where the 'bright' bulb is on the montecarlo ?.It should have something .... My Octy and Fabia 1 take and H7 for the driving lghts and H3 for the bright .... Seems a bit strange,i mean the brights should be part of the headlamp not in the foglamps !!!!.

The MonteCarlo lights are different to your mates and the new vRS.....They are bi halogen. That means that a mirror moves in the unit to give mainbeam...ie It does NOT have a seperate high beam bulb (H7) The MC has a sidelight bulb (501) where the H7 goes on the vRS

We had this type of headlight on our last Fabia (Sport).

They were rubbish..Light scatter everywhere

yeah chrisRs says.although I dont think there that bad on my sport.going from the reflector style on my seat Ibiza I actually think they are far better.

in saying that the motor that moves from dip to main is fairly noisy on mine, dealer says this was normal though :-0
