ADM Fabia VRS

Featured Replies

Picked up the Fabia today from MattCooper (thanks Matt ) , the car is immaculate inside, not one scratch, no swirls on the paint, not a stain on the seats, always serviced by Unit 18. Currently running an estimated 195bhp and 300 lb/ft thanks to an hybrid 130, re map stage 2 and few other bits,my thought? cracking car on the motorway found my self at 90mph without realising it,in town a bit slow of the line but I guess that is me coming from a bigger car and not knowing how to drive a diesel properly, the 312mm brakes are perfect for the car, the only niggle I found is the positions of the pedals specially the clutch, I found the too "up right" but than again it's a case of getting used to it. Already got some springs, shock and RARB in the post.

Plan fo the future? Yes,I'll will start my progress thread soon,to look at the car will remain standard or there about, all the money are going to be spent on performance, handling and breaking and weight reduction, however as I mention above I never owned a turbo or a diesel before so, the next few months are going to be spent researching on do's/don't and quality.

Already booked my self in for the meeting at Trax and looking forward to attending more meetings in the summer

Hi Matt,

The car has been on here for the past 4 years and it's like new,

CT17 - I'll have a look at dates for Castle Combe I won't track but it sounds like a good day and at some point I want to have a good look around your Fabia B)

nice motor enjoy

Get a fmic whacked on and an uprated clutch put in an you'll be cooking

Unsure what a hybrid 130 can push? Should get 210bhp maybe

  • Author

Safe should be 215 220 bhp could go higher but pushing the turbo too much making it pop, might go for a down pipe first(heard you can get 20bhp)together with a remap.

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the position of the clutch pedal so that it is not so upright?

I've been looking at pipework for the FMIC, Samco seems really well rated but I can't find a site with the specific sizes for a vRS, could anyone point me in the right direction please

Can anyone help with the above?

Also looking at the VW MK4 mirrors, just want to double check that the ones in the here are the right ones and what do I need to extend the existing wires

Alex

Try either Ibiza mk 4 and golf mk 4 maybe? Best get On the phone as I'm sure whoever you are dealing with will sort you out :)

Mmmm, any potential issues to look out for?

Wilsy7- Will give them a call thanks

Mine and a few others have had leaky rear shocks, on our coilovers though.

but they are a right PITA when it comes to warranty. just keep an eye on them

Cant wait to see it done

Boost pipes are 51mm from forge

The set up you want is the ibiza pd130 kit to run the seat sport cooler... Around £250

You'll also need the mounting brackets for the intercooler from seat or some made up

Thanks Jase

Dont worry too much dude! its not overly common this happens but it is known, just dont want you getting any unwanted supprises, noone does

Apart from that, they are a fantastic setup, nice ride.

Bit of KW info: they actually supply the shocks to Eibach, then Eibach wrap the springs round them in there kits :giggle:

Well, I guess I'll have to wait and see, I cant wait until the mechanic gets a week end off so that we can get everything on
