Well after finding out how the mirror covers come off, I painted them satin black today.

Darker alloys and maybe the blacked out headlight look might help. As it is the mirrors look a bit out of place, imho. Maybe I think the mirrors look as if they have just been replaced and are waiting to be painted silver :wonder:

But each to their own - if you like it then good on you

IIve done my B pilars black and i think it makes a difference and i wondered about the black mirrors and now i know!

I've got to be honest, I don't like it. Makes it look like a lower spec model.

I don't think black wheels would suit it either.

to pull it off I'd say you need more black. A bit off topic but I'd love to see a matt black VRS with black wheels and tinted windows

Like them and the grill.

I think the tinted windows would help too.... I should have mentioned that in my earlier post.

My car is silver and ive done the grill and the B pillars black and i always wanted the wheels in black or gunmetal, something dark!

But i just dont think they ll look right!

So tell me why so many people paint the grille surrounds black then, it looks better than chrome to me.

If black is from the last decade then chrome is from the decade before and the one before that!

i agreee they look like boggo spec items now

+1 for black B pillars. Black grill works well too but... the black door mirrors don't work IMHO
