Can anybody tell me the next step after confirmed build week on track my Skoda?

I have a confirmed build week 24. What can I expect to see next?

Hoping for less but probably 6 weeks as you say Rob.

Has anybody had experience of the change in status and what it it states?

If it logs into the main Skoda Database then it should show you when it has been built and location on its journey into the UK. When I rang up to see if mine had been built they confirmed that and told me it was in transit to Emden.

As for delivery time, I’m not sure what build week it is now but my VRS was week 20 and I collected it last Friday. However I could have had it on Tuesday but couldn’t make it until Friday. Think it was 3 to 4 weeks from build to delivery.

status 10 is estimated, status 20 is set but not confirmed, status 30 is confirmed. Minute car goes status 30 will be built in said build week and chosen spec is fixed and cannot be changed

Does that mean an order can be changed before that without a problem? My dealer told me that it was impossible if the order had been made.

Your dealer is telling you fibs then :) My car is a status 20 and i've been making amendments to it.

What confuses me if you can make amendments to spec

Before confirmed build why is the wait for some people longer than others

Assuming it's the same basic structure and the same gearbox

Dsg or manual tsi or diesel

I can understand the delay nearly for dsg

but the v rs specs seem to come through quicker(yes I now faster car)

Same dsg box though unless they are built on a differant assbly track

There is no real rhyme or reason, Skoda certainly do not operate any sort of first come first serve system.

Some people get their cars in a few weeks, others are waiting 6-7 months +. I am aware there were supply issues with the 1.2 TSi engine and DSG gearboxes; also I believe (though cant confirm for sure) that the UK only gets a certain allocation of vRS variants. This could account for the number of people who ordered their cars quite early on during the 2011 MY build but are still waiting for their cars.

Shipped and heading to UK Port

Are you in the North of the UK because the WESER HIGHWAY left Emden today at 12:10 due into Grimsby tomorrow at 06:30. It could be on that.

Weser Highway

If you are realy sad (like me  ) click on Current Vessels Track link on the page and you can see a live update of its location.
