Rear window washer stop working

Featured Replies

Hey lads my rear window washer stopped today suddenly. Now you can still hear the motor spinning when u try use it, and water is spraying on front window (assuming they use same bottle). I tookoff the pipe and tried it thinking maybe jets where blocked but still nothing? Any other solutions??

When you say you took the pipe at which end?

Behind the front (passanger side I think) wheel arch trim the hose may have popped off.

No just took it off on rear wiper. Is there a joiner price there at the wheel arch?

Have a look in the spare wheel well. I'm not sure about the MkI Octavia but the MkII is known for popping off the rear washer supply pipe where it goes through the boot area.

Got it sorted lads took off the plastic cover on the bootlid and the pipe had come off. Sorted. Thanks for the replys

Good stuff.

It's worth checking behind the CD changer in the boot if it happens again, as that's another place the pipe comes apart.

I'm determined to get mine back on. Have even called a friend and asked him to come by and give me a hand to get it back on. I will not be defeated

Put all of the metal clips back onto the trim then fit the lower end first (not forgetting the webbing!). Once all of the plastic clips are in place work your way around the rear window pulling the trim out so that the metal clips go into position.

Hmmmm.....I think that the metal clips go onto the trim first, but it has been a while since I took mine off :wonder:

Metal clips go on the metal part first, then you need to manouvere it on, making sure they all seat properly, and give it a good whack to get the clips to clip on.
