Skoda Monte 1st 1000 miles

Featured Replies

Just had A few days down Cornwall & racked up the 1st 1000 miles on me Monte.I have to say this car is a dream to drive on the tight narrow roads, thanks to its sporty suspension. It's still leaving me with a big beaming smile with it's super tor-qie 1.2 PETROL engine. Can't reconmend this vehicle enough it is just such fun to drive   So anyone who's fed up with the deadly diesel rattle should seriously consider one of these. The only problem we've had so far is one of the little brake pedal rubbers coming loose but it is really just a minor irritation.Would def give this car 10 out of 10

Nice to hear your enjoying the Monte.

Nice to see another happy owner.

Off the top of my head we've toped it up four times since picking it up so around £175 worth of fuel for the 1030 miles with 315 left in the tank [according to the trip computer] so no no where near as good as a diesel but so much quieter

4 Refills cost £140? lol I think not at todays prices... you must be looking at £200. Otherwise i'll be crying as mine is £65 per tank of VPower and uses it quicker!

No doubt, so is my dads 6 cylinder lexus.

If I was doing 8,000 miles a year I'd have a vrs - 36,000 miles a year and no matter how quiet an engine is it has to be diesel

phew, I can relax a bit :)

Averaged 45 in the vRS on a run today though, not bad seeing as only 275 miles on the clock!

Only average 8000 miles a year so thats really why i went petrol. The monte cost us £7995 plus a 57 plate suzuki swift 1.5 glx. So you can see why this car excites me :)

Yep, totally agree. Diesel would be all wrong for you. You'd have dpf problems for starters.

Wish my mileage was that low :(

Thats amazing knowing you've got all that power ready to unleash under the right foot B)

I used it a few times, slow people on the M25 and odd learner on a 60 zone doing 25... they have to be over-taken
