eibach anti roll bar kits

Featured Replies

Can anyone give me there opinions on the above kit please? Would prefer someone that has actually used them than mere opinions. Thing I'm struggling with is the diameters.26mm front/23mm rear just screams understeer but apparently the standard skoda bars are thicker at the front than the rear anyway.

Help!

The Eibach bars give a well balanced feel to the car and yes the standard bars are thicker at the front then rear. The Eibach bars are also adjustable so you can set the rear up to be stiffer to give a tad more over steer.

Thanks Damian,

I'll email about price matching then as Venom Motorsport are slightly cheaper than what your offering just now, if only by a couple of quid.

james.

Dont forget fitting the rear is simple, but fitting the front is a right pig of a job as descibed in a thread i wrote before (just search on eibach and will come up). This is if your planning on fitting yourself otherwise dont worry as someone else will be drilling the existing bush out as they stupidly dont include the metal housing with the kit (which would make life easy and considering the cost is taking the pi55)!

Cant quote on performance yet as car is still being built, but expecting to be happy as excellent reviews.

Yea just to make you aware thats all mate. Im a pretty competent mechanic and currenty rebuilding an 09 plate octy estate (search thread: Fl front end, ended up with pre) and wasnt expecting to have to grind 4 fixed bolts off the mounting to replace the standard bush with the uprated one. If i wasnt in the garage at the time then i wouldnt have had access to a grinder to complete this. I presumed it could be easily completed on a sunday afternoon on the drive for any DIY'er, but it aint! Just so your prep'd and dont end up dropping the subframe only to find that you have to rebolt it back up as cant complete it, as nothing worse than that!

Cheers mate. My brother says it shouldn't be too difficult with his air hacksaw but agreed, that is poor for a kit costing £300 or so.

Grinder you need mate not the air hacksaw as you need to grind off the bolts that are welded onto the mount and replace with a loose nut to re-fit.

Your brother will have no probs sorting it out by the sound of it but if he wants a lok before tackling it then link here

Thanks for the link. I meant he's going to drill through the bush then cut round it with his hacksaw and pop it out in 2 pieces.
