Good Morning Skoda

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

Its taken me over a year to finally join your forum but I have broused some of the topics previously.

I have a grey 08 reg Octavia Tdi 140 estate which now has 56k on the clock, bought primarily for the 4 wheel drive (How do VRS drivers get by without 4x4? they must chew the front tyres off!)

Its a really nice and comfortable car with the added factory extras of HID Xenon headlights, Bluetooth phone connection and multi function steering wheel with maxi-dot. I have also added a columbus sat nav stereo (What a great piece of kit!)

At the moment the only mods are a set of headlight brows and blue LED internal courtesy lights.

My plans at the moment are for:

  • debadged, dechromed grill from SuperSkoda
  • Plug in power chip box (Not sure which, any recomendations for the 2.0 PD Tdi engine?)
  • Replacement panel filter (Any recomendations?)
  • I've seen a nice twin tail pipe conversion back box on ebay

I'd also like to colour code the alloys (Grey alloys on a grey car),whats the best way to do this?

I have also tried LED side lights and rear lights but this just made error messages appear on the dash, does anyone know how I can get around this? modding cars just isn't as easy as it used to be!

Welcome to the forum finally! LOL

My VRS has 18's with 225's, no probs with traction there!

Plug in chip box - avoid - all they do is overfuel....Go and see shark for a remap.

Panel filter - just keep the OEM one.

You can get CANBUS friendly bulbs but i am sure someone will be along to help you on that.

Alloys - Just find your local Wheel refurb company and get some quotes....You will need some spare wheels though unless you can be without your car for a day or 2!

Hi and welcome aboard.

Hi JRW and thanks for that, some good advice there for me to mull over (Still can't believe you don't understeer off in the wet with all that power and torque through the front wheels).

Welcome to Briskoda
