i had the back box removed the other day but now i feel the car doesnt pull aswell as before,its basically a straight through exhaust now as its got a decat,does anyone else who has removed there back box think this or is it me being stupid?

i feel your pain. Had mine done whilst i had the decat on too, felt rubbish to be honest and far to loud, refitted the cat to reduce noise but still doesnt pull anywhere near as well i dont think. solution = refit backbox, remove cat. sorting it tomorrow, hopefully back to usual power

Perhaps the ecu is still adjusting to new parameters?

i was thinking of removing the back box for a bit as like a temp mufflerectomy mod, is this no good?

Cant really comment on this exact problem but the PD engines respond well to just mufflerectomy usually giving around 2 - 4 bhp increase and when I had my mufflerectomy it felt no slower just sounded alot nicer.

But obv with it having a decat aswell I can't comment on that.

In theory tho there is no restriction for the turbo so it will spool quicker.
