  • would it be able to fit in without sawing off part of the cage or is it simply impossible in order to get a flush finish?

  • Ben90 - Where are you making this offer? I checked on eBay and the listing has ended?

  • Yes mate it will switch on and off by ignition like the old symphony xD. Gps maps go on SD card and go i the left front slot and there is a second SD slot for tunes ect. They will supply you a link

Apparently that's what it says in Rapture's earlier posts, I assume there's a standard quadlock in the back?

Nice find Rapture, this unit looks awesome! So many features and it looks OE. Few questions if I may. Does it switch on and off with the canbus or does it have to be switched off manually? I notice the only include the maps when you pay full price. I'm considering making an offer for 250 as well. Did you have to pay for the maps separately? I assume the maps are then loaded on to a card and fitted into the GPS slot on the front?

Cheers.

They will supply you a link to download the software and maps but I use IGO Primo 9 which i can help you get if you need.. My next mission is to get a usb DVB-t tuner working with it. Good price s0nix hope you win it.

Awesome thanks for your reply. I assume that's a new OS you load on? Can you source the maps quote easily with the software then? Thanks for your help mate.

Your welcome mate. Yes the Maps and software can easily be found. Try here : http://www.mobilepassion.org/

Awesome, thanks mate. I've since done a bit of research on the units and how they use two operating systems, I wonder if you can scrap the Chinese OS and use a swish looking aftermarket one rather than two... I've noticed an iphone style one that looks pretty upmarket. Anyway I'll probably pick one up, they look like a great deal and it's nice to have the ability to customise the software to keep it fresh.

Sonix, did they ever accept your offer of 200 notes? ;)

Don't answer that Sonix, I made an offer of 250 and got it :sun: I picked up an ISO adapter since my Polo is quadlock, I'll have to tap a switched live from the fuse box for the ISO since quadlock only has a permanent live, which means I'd have to turn the unit off each time manually. Bit of fiddling but it should work fine.

Any tips/things I should get hold of while I wait? I've got a couple of SD cards set aside. The rest of the package looks fairly comprehensive. I hear the unit has amp outputs, does this include output for a remote switching line? Will update when mine arrives :)

I didn't get it for 200 no bud - He counter offered me for 250 - I then declined. Got a holiday coming up in 4 weeks so need to save for my spend! :)
