Thinking of buying a post 2007 2.0TDi, oil pump advice.

Featured Replies

Thinking of buying a 2.0TDi, are the newer cars, say post 2007 plagued with the oil pump issues,

As their are so many VAG car with 2.0TDi engines fitted has the oil pump issue been blown out of proportion, especially on newer models or should I steer clear of it?

If you own a 2.0TDi what is you experience or advice, has anyone had the oil pump failure on a post 2007 car?

Cheers all

Try looking here:

There are also lots of other threads on this forum about the oil pump issue if you do a search.

I've requested the mods several times for a sticky about this but without luck.

if you are buying a MK2 (2008 on) superb then the oil pump is a non issue, if you are buying a MK1 superb then the same engine was used until the end of life, so all the MK1 2.0TDi's have the oil pump issue.
